The lovely Camilla chose stunning accessories for her wedding in November. She used the company Passionate About Vintage, for her fab hair accessory and necklace. Camilla's hair accessory was originally a necklace and Natalie "tweaked" it for her and created a lovely accessory on a comb, that just sat in Camilla's hair and set her style off beautifully.

Parisian Chic Bride

Melina's wedding was one of my most favourite's in 2011.

Her dress was so chic and elegant from the Paris designer Cymbeline and she wanted her hair and make- up to reflect this look. All very effortless, elegant and very French! Simple understated make-up and and classic chignon was the look required and as you can see from these images and the ones on my gallery that Melina looked so beautiful and stylish on her special day .

The wedding was held at the stately Knowlton Court near Canterbury and and big thank you to Graham at Eton Photography for the images. I have met many photographers this year and Graham has been one of my favourites to work along side. We hadn't meet before and I found him very relaxed and a non-intrusive person. Winter Wonderland Bride at Sundridge Park

So pleased to share these images of my lovely bride Sam, whose hair and make up I did a few weeks ago at Sundridge Park. Sam really was a beautiful winter bride. With gorgeous fair skin, soft smokey eyes and a very stunning up-do. I had a lovely thank you from Sam today and here it is -

Vintage style at Hever Castle

I wanted to share these gorgeous images of Tarnya, my lovely vintage bride who married at Hever Castle in September. Tarnya choose to have lovely soft 50's style waves with a bird cage veil and smokey eyes with the black liquid line flick. A very popular look at the moment but very classic - this look will never date.

50's style bride

Laura's 50's style wedding was in October and I just received these lovely photo's and a big thank you, that I wanted to share with you. I did hair and make-up for Laura, her sister Emma and their Mum. Laura wanted an up-do, with height but kept soft looking. So, with a bit of back combing, I gave her some height on top and swept the rest up in to a very relaxed chignon. Didn't make it too formal, just kept it nice and loose with some movement. Emma had lots of hair,thick wavey hair and decided that she would like it more neater and off her face. We created a lovely side-bun and added some beautiful sparkly pins. I loved this wedding look - 2 fab hair styles that suited both equally.

I must say a huge thank you to Daren the photographer. He was so nice. Lovely guy to work with and put everyone at ease. Understated elegant bride

Trish was the most understated bride I have met this year. Her dress was simple and elegant, with classic lillies in her bouquet, no veil but beautiful drop earings. She really wanted minimal fuss with her whole look and we kept her hair and make-up low key with a very soft side bun and super natural make-up. I received a lovely email from Trish recently and here is a snippet -

"Many of our guest's commented on my hair and make- up and how natural it looked. I thought it was perfect."

Trish's bridesmaid opted for a blow dry, style and finish and this is becoming more popular, even with brides. As people like to have "salon hair" and not look or feel to different from their normal self. And again, natural make-up, just a simple low key look.

I am so pleased to share this email with you that I received from Catherine a couple of days ago. Catherine was another of my beautiful Leeds Castle brides and as you can see from the images below she looked so radiant and happy on her big day - even a bit of rain didn't stop her from smiling! It was a pleasure to do Catherine and her sisters make-up and hair (Catherine had an elegant barrel curl up-do and her sister had a blow dry, style and finish) and so lovely for me to receive such a special thank you and photo's. Here it is -

Dear Lisa - I just wanted to email as soon as possible to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job on my hair and make-up for my wedding day. Thanks for helping with the nerves, giving us your umbrella and most importantly, thank you for turning me into a princess for the day! Both the hair and make-up stayed in place perfectly all day - the rain didn't touch it at all.

Cute curls for Ruth

I love Ruth's curls in these photo's. Her hair curled perfectly and they stayed nice and bouncy through the whole day and evening. I set her hair very tightly on hot rollers, shook them out gently once cooled and just sprayed to hold them. Dark smokey eyes and a smooth base, along with my favourite lip gloss by Clinique in Bamboo Pink and Ruth looked fabulous and flawless for her big day. Fabulous hair piece for Paula

On a lovely sunny day in April, at Cooling Castle Barn, I had the pleasure of creating a fab look for Paula using a hair piece from hothair. A side bun was the final choice for Paula and she really wanted something creative and bold to fit in with the style of her dress and wedding theme. The style was a mass of lovely swirling curls with loose tendrils over one shoulder. I must say that it did look truly fab-u-lous and it was such fun in creating. Paula liked very natural make-up and we went with a wash of soft pink on her eyes with one coat of mascara, super light weight base, dusting of blush and a lip gloss with a hit of sparkle. Nice and low key make-up and super high fashion hair!

Nik Blyth, was the photographer for the day and a big thank you to him for the image above and on my gallery page. Nik is very creative, professional and has a great sense of humor. His images are lovely too.

Once again, Cooling Castle Barn is a brilliant venue and as helpful as ever - it's one of my favourite places to visit. They are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble and I can't wait to go back.

Recently, I had the pleasure of creating Kathy's hair and make-up for her special day at Cooling Castle Barn. Kathy chose to have clip- in extensions to add some length to her half up half down and a very dark smokey eyes look with her make-up look.

The weather was so warm and the blossom just beautiful. Joanne Collins was Kathy's photographer who snapped some lovely shots of the day, that you can see above and more on my gallery page.

Personally, I love working with lady photographers. They know what a girl wants and they are always very relaxed, in tune with what images a bride would like in her album and never take un-kind image, like in your rollers or underwear! More often than not, you don't even realise they are there. They just quietly snap away, capturing the most beautiful moments.

Charming Chilston

I had a lovely day at Chilston Park a few weekends ago. It's one of my favorite venues and I am lucky enough to be one of their top choice suppliers. Laura was a stunning bride and along with her gorgeous bridesmaid Anna, I had a brilliant time doing their hair and make-up. Both of them wanted to wear their hair down and wavy and we added a sparkly comb for Laura and Anna had crystal pins twisted into the back of hair hair, worn over one shoulder. Their make-up was lovely and smokey eyed for both of them, with natural lips. The photographer for the day was Fleur from Rusty and Sailor who I had not met before but hope to work with again. Fleur supplied the fantastic images above and I think she did a fine job of capturing Laura's day. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do and you can see more on my gallery page.

A wonderful day was had by all at Leeds Castle and John and Jill English captured Lindsay and the style of her wedding beautifully. The brides choice of hair was a stylish side bun with a very soft fringe. Her make up looked stunning and she chose to have some extra individual false lashes for a real wow factor. Another lovely bride! A big thank you to Vicky for inviting me to be her hair and make-up artist on her special day at the most beautiful castle in the world - Leeds Castle. I had a great day and everyone made me feel very welcome. Vicky left me five star feedback on the Hitched website and I wanted to share these images of her getting ready and of her beautiful day. I think Helen captured the day brilliantly - even though it rained! They did manage to nip outside between showers to get some more lovely shots. Well done Helen! Babyliss Hair Pieces - Brilliant!

A big thank you to Jessica Heather who kindly sent me some images of her prep for her wedding day. I had a wonderful time at Jessica's booking at the 3 Tuns at Staple a few weeks ago and Jessica along with her 2 bridesmaids made me feel very welcome the morning of the wedding. Jessica chose a messy side bun with a sweeping fringe for her hair. We added a hair piece to give some volume and tucked in a beautiful silk flower to the back of it. Her make up was lovely and smokey with chocolate browns and lots of dark lashes. The bride looked beautiful - just how a bride should look on her big day.

Stunning Gerbera Set's of the Style

I just wanted to share this lovely image of Roochi who married Chris back in May at The Old Kent Barn. Roochi looked beautiful in her rich dark red wedding dress with matching gerbra in her hair. Here are Roochis' thanks to me that I received recently - "Dear Lisa, Thank you so much for doing my wedding hair! I absolutely loved it and so many people commented on how amazing it looked. The style was definitely 'me' and you made me feel very comfortable and calm on the day".

Another beautiful bride. Another great day! I had such a brilliant time a Sarah-Jane's wedding at the lovely Old Kent Barn venue. Sarah-Jane was such a perfect bride to work with. She chose a very funky and cool hair style along with smokey eyes and natural lips. Over all a wonderful look that dove tailed perfectly with her dress and fab fascinator. I just wanted to share these wonderful images of Jo's wedding that I did at the end of May. She chose simple but elegant make-up and wore her hair in a half up half down style. Every wedding Laura photographs is totally unique and she always pulls something magical out of the hat to make each bride feel special and relaxed. Well, where have I been? I have been extremely busy and the wedding season is in full swing. Just want to mention a few of my fave's over the last few weeks and there will be images too follow shortly. First of all, I went down to sunny Margate on the 22nd May to do Suzanne's wedding party. She had the most fab 50's style dress from Chanticleer - really beautiful and it fitted perfectly into the setting of the Walpole Hotel, Clifftonville. The following weekend kept me very busy with a super wedding at Mount Ephraim Gardens near Faversham. Lydia (image above) was such a beautiful bride and her photographer Samantha Jones (no, not the Sex and the City one!) captured her day wonderfully. Then on to Sunday, with Jo's wedding at Oakwood House. They day was photographed brilliantly by my friend Laura at Lollypop - who always does a marvelous job of telling the whole wedding story. From morning preparations right through to the fun evening stuff. I hope to have plenty of images soon. My wedding last week was another enjoyable one too and that was lovely Carly who married in Tunbridge Wells. Carly and her party got ready at The Spa Hotel, that has one particular room that all brides to be must get ready in - so romantic and that's the Balcony Room, 216 - ask for it and you won't be disappointed. Another fab lady photographer called Louisa Dettmer. I love working with lady photographers. In my experience, they know just what a bride wants on her day - more than a man. You will never feel embarrassed or silly and they have this wonderful ability to make you feel relaxed. The above lady photographers above, are without doubt some of the best I have ever been lucky enough to work with. They all have their own style and way and all offer something for everyone. Check out their sites and you won't be disappointed.

Well, this is my very first blog! I am finally moving into the 21st century! The first thing I must to is say a very huge thanks to my lovely friend Laura at lollypopphoto.com - not only is she a fantastic wedding photographer, she is a bit of a web wonder as well. She created my fab new site and pretty much every image on it, are weddings that we have worked on together. Check out her site - it's wonderful.

I have just come back from The Little Silver Hotel in Tenterden today where my lovely bride Linda (see image above) married Richard at 2. She choose a lovely up-do and very simple classic make-up. Her skin looked fab as she has had a couple of cheeky sunbeds (yes, I know they are naughty but a wedding is a special occasion!) and she looked so radiant. I will post the images as as soon as I receive them from a very nice chap called Marcus Warren. Never met him before until today but I must say he was one of the nicest photographers I have met. And I have met a few in my time! But, he was very pleasant. Looking forward to seeing his pictures. Also, I must say how nice everyone is at the Little Silver - it's one of my favourite hotels to go to. They have the most divine wedding suite called the Platinum Suite or Room 17 and it's absolutely lovely to get ready in and stay over night - I imagine! Overall, you can't ask for any more with the Little Silver - they are just so helpful.

So, what else can you expect from my blog? Well, lot's of make-up and hair stuff - obviously and just news of me on my travels. Feel free to drop me a line about anything wedding-y, hair or make-up, flowers, dresses etc. I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years now so have lots of useful, weird and wonderful tips for you.
